Landesprogramm Solidarisches Zusammenleben (LSZ)

Logo LSZ

Family policy in the Free State of Thuringia was restructured on 1 January 2019 with the state programme Solidarisches Zusammenleben - LSZ. Previously the responsibility of the state ministry, the decision on the funding of family-friendly programmes is now the responsibility of the city.

In close cooperation between politics, administration, social actors and the citizens of Suhl, the development of a family-friendly infrastructure is made possible exactly where the families live.

The basis for this is the integrated social plan. Based on an inventory analysis of family structures and social services in the city as well as an analysis of existing needs and requirements of families, family policy goals and measures are structured in six areas of action:

Field of action 1 - ‘Management, networking, sustainability and planning’

Field of action 2 - ‘Reconciling family and work, mobility’

Field of action 3 - ‘Education in the family environment’

Field of action 4 - ‘Counselling, support and information’

Field of action 5 - ‘Living environment and quality of life’

Field of action 6 - ‘Dialogue between the generations’

The first milestone in establishing sustainable urban social planning was set with the resolution on integrated social planning by the Suhl City Council (No. 087/07/2019 on 27 November 2019), enabling the highest funding level (Level 3) to be reached on 1 January 2020.

The last update of the integrated social planning for 2024 was adopted by the City Council on 15 November 2023 (resolution no. 783/55/2023).
